Grants for automation, robotisation, and digitisation of enterprises

Implementing solutions related to automation, robotisation, and digitisation of the economy permits streamlining production, minimising losses, improving safety and continuity of processes, and reducing the cost of manufacturing products or individualising them according to the needs of customers. Data subject to further processing are an essential element necessary for decision-making and achieving business advantages.

Growing data availability is encouraging enterprise digital transformation projects. For this reason, the new EU financial perspective provides for a number of instruments designed to finance investments in the automation, robotisation, and digitisation of enterprises.

FENG: Digitisation module under the SMART Path

The Digitisation module is one of the modules under the SMART Path in the FENG programme. It involves aid for funding ventures in the field of e.g. robotisation of production lines, data analytics and production optimisation, cybersecurity or IoT solutions. Both SMEs and large enterprises can apply for funding.

The condition necessary for using the support under the Digitisation module involves including the R&D Works module or, alternatively, the Implementing Innovations module (for SMEs) in the project.

National Recovery Plan

Investments supporting enterprise robotisation and innovation

Funding will only be directed only to large enterprises and will be available for projects involving the implementation of smart production lines, construction of smart factories, digitisation of business processes (management, operational, support) and of other activities, e.g. with respect to supply chains or provided services, as well as the use of cloud technologies.

The programme’s estimated total budget is EUR 450m.

"SME automation and robotisation in Eastern Poland" Programme

The programme is addressed to SMEs operating in Eastern Poland.

Funding will cover two project stages:

How can we help?

  • Assessing investment eligibility;
  • Determining the adequate scope of investment;
  • Analysing eligible costs;
  • Modelling project scope to maximise the chances for obtaining aid;
  • Drafting required application documentation;
  • Assisting in relations with institutions;
  • Assisting in public aid settlement (including e.g. preparing purchasing procedures, drafting payment applications, preparing the project for inspection by the financing institution).

Case studies

Optimising production in the automotive industry

We obtained funding for an automotive company to develop equipment streamlining the component manufacturing process. R&D works related to developing the device were performed in line with Industry 4.0 assumptions. As a result of the R&D works performed, the component manufacturing process was significantly automated. Eligible costs amounted to PLN 5.5 million and the funding reached nearly PLN 2.5 million.

Autonomous transportation system based on mobile robots

We secured funding for a smart robot manufacturer to develop an autonomous transportation system based on mobile robots as well as planning and control algorithms with learning capabilities. Ultimately, the system will be applied in production processes and non-linear internal warehouse logistics processes. The eligible costs of R&D works amounted to PLN 8 million and the funding reached PLN 5.2 million.

A smart system for measuring and controlling the manufacturing process quality

We secured funding for a leading manufacturer of ceramic tiles for R&D works involving developing a system for measuring and controlling the quality of the production process. The system will be based on proprietary predictive algorithms. The system will help improve the efficiency of the basic elements of the process line. The eligible costs of the project amounted to PLN 10 million and the secured funding reached PLN 4.1 million.
