The CRIDO team advised RelyOn Nutec, a global leader in safety training, on its investment in the company GoRopes, a training centre specialising in courses for the wind energy sector.

The assistance we provided for the client comprised comprehensive transaction support.

“We are pleased to have had the opportunity to comprehensively advise the RelyOn Nutec team on this acquisition. The work pace in this project was really demanding, but with the commitment of the RelyOn Nutec and GoRopes teams we managed to get the deal signed according to our Client's plan. The GoRopes case shows that Polish companies with ties to the renewable energy sector are growing dynamically and enjoy increasing interest of foreign investors. There may be more transactions in this sector in the near future, we think, which of course pleases us as transaction consultants,” comments Przemysław Furmaga, CRIDO partner and head of the M&A team.

On the part of CRIDO, the project was headed by partner Przemysław Furmaga and senior associate Andrzej Dunikowski. It also involved associate Filip Sobociński; junior associate Iga Klukowska; and junior associate Michał Tokarz. Senior associate Karolina Kalinowska and junior associate Monika Walczak supported the client on labour law issues.

RelyOn Nutec is a global leader in safety training, while GoRopes is a reputable Tri-City training centre specialising in courses for the wind energy sector that comply with the Global Wind Organization (GWO) standards, rope access training, and PPE equipment sales, rentals, and inspections.

Its investment in Poland is RelyOn Nutec's first project in the Baltic region and another step in expanding the group's offer in the rapidly growing offshore wind power sector. Launching the training centre in Poland is a step forward in the growth of RelyOn Nutec that has built a strong position in the North Sea. The global group has 13 training centres in Europe, including the UK, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
