CRIDO: 4 x No. 1 in the “Ranking of Tax Companies and Advisers” by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” (“Daily Legal Newspaper”)

• No. 1 in the category “transfer pricing” for Ewelina Stamblewska-Urbaniak, partner responsible for TP team at CRIDO
• No. 1 in the category “CIT” for Paweł Toński, managing partner responsible for CIT and RE teams at CRIDO
• No. 1 in the category “litigation” (and no. 2 in the category “international tax law”) for Andrzej Puncewicz, managing partner at CRIDO and lead of tax proceedings team
• No. 1 for CRIDO in the category “tax projects”

–  according to the “XII Ranking of Tax Companies and Advisers” organised by by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” (“Daily Legal Newspaper”).

For tax advisers 2018 was another challenging year, filled with diligent work. The multitude of new bills, resulting i.a. from the strive to tighten up the tax system, as well as tax proceedings, often difficult for business and determining its “to be or not to be”, “saw to it” that we had enough of work. Thanks to our clients who often conduct very large and complex business operations, we had a chance to prove ourselves in the field of tax projects and CIT, transfer pricing, and what any entrepreneur would happily steer clear of, namely litigation. We are pleased that those efforts made by our over 120-person tax team at CRIDO have been appreciated not only by our clients, but also jury of the ranking – comments Roman Namysłowski, managing partner and lead of tax team at CRIDO, who accepted the award for the best tax project of 2018.

According to the jury of “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”’s ranking, the key elements to CRIDO experts’ success were:

• “transfer pricing projects led by Ewelina Stamblewska-Urbaniak, including e.g. one of the biggest restructuring in Europe, as well as projects that required creating a uniform solution for four tax jurisdictions and the appropriate model for over 50 companies”,
• „numerous litigations carried out by Andrzej Puncewicz, regarding real estate transactions pertaining to VAT, with a high level of complexity, which were resolved positively for clients, as well as proceedings regarding withholding tax paid by foreign equity funds investing in Poland, which contributed to forming adjudication beneficial to taxpayers, that ended in success”,
• “Paweł Toński’s implementation of restructuring projects for Polish and foreign complex entities, incorporating, among other things, the risk related to new legislation against the so-called debt-push-down”.

The ranking was announced on 27th March 2019 during the ceremonial gala crowning a conference dedicated to the digitisation of Polish economy, which was held in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
