The whistleblowers are back!

On 23 May 2024, the Parliament adopted a bill on the protection of whistleblowers.

14 June 2024 – The Sejm adopted the amendments of the Senate. The law will now go to the President for signature, who has 21 days to do so. If it is not vetoed, it will enter into force within three months of its publication in the Journal of Laws.

20 June 2024 – The President has signed into law the Whistleblower Protection Act. The new legislation introduces significant changes that require companies to implement procedures to enable employees to safely report workplace wrongdoings.

Entrepreneurs will be obliged to implement internal channels for reporting violations of the law in their organisation. According to the proposed legislation, as early as three months after the promulgation of the law, this obligation will include:

private sector entities employing at least 50 people

Failure to implement confidential and secure whistleblowing procedures carries the risk of criminal liability.

The cost of implementing and maintaining the tool is competitive compared to other solutions on the market.

Sygnalizuj24h offers the possibility to use the support of CRIDO Legal lawyers specialised in labour law. They assist both in the implementation of the legislation and in the subsequent handling of the applications received.

In the event of an inspection by authorised public authorities, the system allows the creation of a so-called ‘defence file’.
