Technologies for Innovations

A portfolio of services relating to technological analyses; in particular, a feasibility study regarding implementation in the Client’s business of third party technologies to solve problems specific to the business. The services may also involve analysis and potential adaptation of technological solutions owned by the Client with a view to their being sold to entities from other sectors of industry who do not represent a direct competitive threat to the Client’s business.

Additionally, this set of services may include technology development forecasts and upgrades of specific technological solutions belonging to the Client.

Technologies for Innovations includes:

Technology Revision

As part of this service offer, we analyse certain technologies that we have selected together with the Client and which the Client uses in their business activity. An assessment is made of such aspects of the Client’s activity as use of advanced technologies, universality, technological maturity, patentability, additional applications, modification or adaptation needs.

Technologies that have been subjected to such analysis are described in full detail, including their development potential (internal and external). The findings are communicated to the Clients in form of report documentation.

As a further step, the Client may decide to run an adaptation project involving modification of the selected technology and its implementation in other areas of the Client’s business activity or marketing it outside the Client’s company (under licence or for sale).

Technology Examination

This type of service involves, in the first place, detailed analysis of the technological problem reported by the Client. The analysis serves as a basis for determining the key functionalities which are required in the production process, which either are not satisfied or are satisfied but to an insufficient extent. The next step involves the use of a tool called Functionally Oriented Search which helps identify potential technologies (taking into account industrial property rights) that may reduce or eliminate the problem. Any technologies identified at this stage can be applied directly or indirectly, that is, after adaptation works are completed.

If any modification is necessary, the Crido team can complete the required adaptation, prepare a demonstrator for the new technological solution (including the relevant tests) and draft the implementation guidelines.

Technology Forecasting

As part of this service offering, we analyse the technologies (internal and those of the competitors) which the Client has helped us to select. The analysis is intended to map out and support future directions in which the technologies might evolve. Technology evolution forecasts are prepared for a medium-term using, among other things, the Trend of S-curve Evolution, the Trend of Increasing Value, the Trend of Increasing Dynamization, the Trend of Increasing Controllability, the Trend of Transition to Supersystem. The forecast is described and supporting arguments are enclosed, along with the potential impact of evolutionary changes on the nature of the sectors where the technologies are used most often.

The deliverable to the Client is a detailed analytical study.

Works carried out within the Technologies for Innovation group are typically characterised by an analytical approach and conclude in the preparation of a comprehensive report which covers, in particular:

In selected cases, the report is supplemented by adaptation project results, including description and technical drawings of the technology demonstrators that have been prepared, their test results and implementation guidelines.

Additionally, at the Client’s request, we can prepare a detailed pricing guide for the technology that is intended for sale on the open market.
