CRIDO, a leading Polish advisory firm, has advised RENOMIA, a prominent European insurance and reinsurance broker, on a significant acquisition in Poland: an 82% stake in Kancelaria Brokerska MODUS. This transaction reinforces RENOMIA's growth strategy and strengthen its presence in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) insurance market.
The acquisition of Kancelaria Brokerska MODUS, a Polish insurance broker with 30 years of experience, provides RENOMIA with a well-established platform in the Polish market.
RENOMIA is a family-owned company with Czech capital and a minority partnership with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (NYSE: AJG), the world’s third-largest insurance broker. Operating in 13 CEE countries, RENOMIA leverages Gallagher’s global reach to provide clients with comprehensive, tailored insurance solutions.
Kancelaria Brokerska MODUS is a family-owned company established in 2007. MODUS has offices in Skierniewice and Warsaw. It specializes in insurance services for corporate clients, primarily in the financial sector. It also holds a strong position in providing services to agricultural entities, various associations, and organizations. The key strengths of the MODUS team include a personalized approach to clients and top tier claims handling.
The acquisition of an 82% stake in Kancelaria Brokerska MODUS aligns with the ambitious development plans of the Gallagher Group, of which RENOMIA is a part. Rafał Trębski, current MODUS CEO, will continue to develop the company with the support of the new strategic partner.
"Central and Eastern Europe, and Poland in particular, represent key growth markets for RENOMIA. Our Polish subsidiaries, Alfa Brokers and RENOMIA sp. z o.o., delivered impressive double-digit growth last year, demonstrating our success in a competitive market. We are now expanding our services further with the support of our partner Gallagher. This strategic growth is further reinforced by our merger with MODUS, a partnership built on shared values and a swift agreement" - explains Pavel Nepala, co-founder and managing partner of RENOMIA GROUP.”
CRIDO served as RENOMIA’s exclusive financial advisor on both transactions. The CRIDO team was led by Artur Marszałkiewicz, Managing Partner responsible for Corporate Finance, with support from Aleksandra Małolepsza, Associate Director, and Monika Olak, Senior Associate. While Przemysław Furmaga, Partner, with Aleksandara Czarnecka (Senior Associate) and Julia Dziubińska (Senior Associate) oversaw the legal aspects of the transaction.
"It is an honour for us to support RENOMIA in implementing its growth strategy. This transaction is another milestone in the Group’s international expansion, and we are happy to have been part of this process. We look forward to future projects and gaining more experience in the insurance market," said Artur Marszałkiewicz, Managing Partner at CRIDO.
