Michał Borowski

Michał is a partner in Tax Governance Department at CRIDO. He advises on VAT-related issues to entrepreneurs and public entities, including the largest cities in Poland. He represents clients in tax and administrative proceedings. As part of his consultancy work for JST, Michał led, among others, projects related to the recovery of non-deducted VAT, implementation of the VAT ratio, preparation of applications for tax interpretations. Michał is a member of the National Forum for Electronic Invoicing in the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, and a tax specialist in Business Centre Club. He participated in the works on the so-called VAT Green Paper held in the European Commission, including in particular works on the changes to the public sector. He was twice selected the second best tax advisor in the “Best Tax Advisor: VAT” category in the  ranking prepared by Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (2019, 2014). Michał started his professional career in an international consulting company, and moved on to manage the VAT practice team in a well-known Polish law firm. He joined CRIDO in 2014, and has been a licensed tax advisor since 2009.
