Polish entity registered before 2025 – e-Delivery required
As of January 1, 2025, a revolutionary change has taken effect in communication with public administration in Poland. The obligation to use e-Delivery (e-Doręczenia) now applies to the first group of entrepreneurs. This marks a breakthrough in the digital transformation of Polish administration, replacing traditional paper correspondence with a modernized system. The transition period for implementing e-Delivery will last until the end of 2025.
Have a question or need support?
What is e-Delivery, and why do entrepreneurs need it?
E-Delivery is an official method of exchanging correspondence between businesses, government offices, and other public institutions in Poland. Through a dedicated electronic address, taxpayers can receive official documents in digital form instead of traditional paper format. This system simplifies document management, ensures that no critical correspondence is overlooked, and facilitates fast and secure information exchange. As a result, businesses save time, reduce the risk of losing important letters, and remain compliant with the latest legal requirements.
Who is required to use e-Delivery?
As of January 1, 2025, the obligation to register for an e-Delivery address applies to non-public entities registering with the National Court Register (KRS) and the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity (CEIDG). It also includes professionals in regulated professions, such as tax advisors and legal counsels.
From April 1, 2025, the requirement will extend to non-public entities that were already registered in KRS before January 1, 2025. Over the following months, additional groups of entrepreneurs will gradually be brought under this obligation. Ultimately, by 2026, most companies operating in Poland will be required to have an e-Delivery address.
Transition period
Until December 31, 2025, public institutions will assess whether correspondence can be delivered via e-Delivery. If there are organizational constraints preventing this, traditional delivery methods may still be used.
