Extension of protection for citizens of Ukraine until March 2027
The Justice and Home Affairs Council, at its meeting on 13 June, plans to consider extending the temporary protection for ob. Ukraine by March 2027*
Currently, the Council of the EU has already extended the temporary protection for Ukrainians until March 2026 - in Poland it is valid until the end of September this year.
As of 31 March 2025, just over 4.26 million people who are not EU citizens and have fled Ukraine have been granted temporary protection in the European Union.
However, if you intend to stay in Poland, it is recommended to obtain a temporary or permanent residence permit (if applicable), which will provide the greatest stability and prospects in the current circumstances.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the procedure and conditions for obtaining a temporary and permanent residence permit in Poland.
